Students are always trying to save money. In this list, we rounded up the best student offers and deals from around town. If you’re not sure whether or not a store offers a discount, go ahead and ask. You may end up finding more deals than you were bargaining for. And always carry your student ID.

Technology

Adobe: Full-time students can receive discounts on software, such as 60% on Creative Cloud. Just visit here.

 

Apple: Get wireless Beats headphones when you buy an eligible computer, tablet or smartphone with a valid student ID. Apple also offers special education pricing on Apple computers, select software and third party products to post-secondary students, parents buying for a post-secondary student, or faculty and teachers. Microsoft: It’s too easy! Go to Office 365 and login using your MUN email address and password.

 

Spotify: Get Spotify Premium for $4.99.

Travel and Transportation

Air Canada: This student pass allows you to buy 4 or 6 one-way flight credits per year to select cities in Canada and the U.S.

Metro Bus: Semester long student passes for the St. John’s Metrobus are $275. Student bus passes are sold at The Attic in Mun’s University Center.

Fitness

The Works: As a current student of Memorial University or Marine Institute who has paid the Student Recreation Fee, you have access to all of the following. Just present your MUN student ID at the front desk.

Field House

The Globe and Mail: The Globe and Mail offers post-secondary students reduced subscription rates for the newspaper and Globe Unlimited.

Additional Student Savings Cards

ISIC: The ISIC is a student travel discount card. If travelling abroad, the ISIC provides discounts on accommodation, admission to historical sites and museums, and transportation.

Student Price Card: All you need to do is show your SPC Card at thousands of participating locations to receive instant savings every time you shop. Offers vary but most are 10% to 15% off.

StudentSaver: StudentSaver helps students save money on everyday purchases like books, clothing, food, and entertainment. Use your free StudentSaver card (included at the back of your Students’ Union planner) to get discounts ranging from 10% to 50% off purchased goods and services. In addition to discounts, the card acts as your Canadian Federation of Students membership card. Unlike the ISIC, the StudentSaver is available to part-time students.
